Mt. Able
Mt. PinosGreat hike to the highest point in Ventura County (8,837 ft). 2 mile hike from the parking lot at Nordic Base. 4 miles round trip and worth every step.

Park at Nordic Base parking lot and follow the trail to the west (to the left as you are facing the building). Stay left at the fork and follow through the pines. The trail will lead you to a lookout with a bench at a sign. However, the actual point of the mountain is near a tower that is fenced in. The marker is embedded in the rock near the tower (outside of the fence). There are beautiful views of the Central Valley and southern Sierra Nevadas from here.
